In God – We Still Trust

Let me just start by saying that knowing this song was banned and all the filth is allowed to play just pissed me off. I dedicate this article to Those who believe in God and Country. To all those fighting in wars that would not even be happening if the American Government had only believed.

Thoughts:

Joey Jessica Mcgee i have served this country for 12 years now fought in wars, was taken from my family and friends, have seen and done things that i wonder if ill ever be able to forget, was not there the day my father past away, was fighting in a war when i lost my grandmother now at home from being wounded at war and there is still not a day that i don’t put my flag up every morning and take it down every night, not a day that i don’t talk to god, and after all this i still feel pity for those who want to believe that there is no god and our country that both you and i and many others have fought for. right on Mr. Duncan, thank you for your service to this country i love and fight so hard to keep free so that those nonbelievers and and anti military can have there right to bitch,.... but its ok to those of u, sleep in peace tonight while i put my life on hold for you. i cant even tell you how upset i get when i here some one tell me there is no god, or god shouldn’t be in schools or on our money,,,so on,, it erks me so much when i here these kids and adults talk bad about us, and the one thing i don’t get, as Americans we spend so much time trying not to offend some one else that it offends me...... lol i guess it all boils down to is that if you don’t like the way that our country was founded, then leave! go live in a country like where i just came from,, and be told what to do and what to believe or you loose your whole family...

MY BUDDY

They say he died in glory,
What ever that may be.
If its dying in a burst of flame,
Then glory's not for me.
In the briefing room this morning,
He sat with clear eyes and strong heart,
Just one of many airman
Determined to do his part.
My buddy had the guts alright,
He sought not glory nor fame.
He knew there was a job to do,
My crew all felt the same.
But death had the final word,
In its log it wrote his name.
For my buddy died this afternoon
In glory - in a burst of flame.

(Dedicated to Mike Shanley who gave his life ditching on his 6th mission)

Another True American Hero:

Daniel Gilyeat is a decorated U.S. marine and a loving father to his children, having served not one but two tours in Iraq. During the second tour he volunteered for, he was out on a mission when a bomb hit his truck. He suffered major injuries and lost his left leg above the knee. In addition, his marriage ended and he suddenly became a single father. As with many soldiers, deployment had put a huge stress on his marriage. But despite these setbacks and personal battles, 25 days after losing his leg, Daniel was up and walking with a prosthetic leg, and inspiring other wounded soldiers by visiting them in the hospital and speaking with their families.

A Letter Written by A World War ll Veteran:

This venerable and much honored WW II vet is well known in Hawaii
for his seventy-plus years of service to patriotic organizations and causes
all over the country. A humble man without a political bone in his body,
he has never spoken out before about a government official, until now.
He dictated this letter to a friend, signed it and mailed it to the president.
Dear President Obama,
My name is Harold Estes, approaching 95 on December 13 of this year. People meeting me for the first time don't believe my age because I remain wrinkle free and pretty much mentally alert.
I enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1934 and served proudly before, during and after WW II retiring as a Master Chief Bos'n Mate. Now I live in a "rest home" located on the western end of Pearl Harbor, allowing me to keep alive the memories of 23 years of service to my country.
One of the benefits of my age, perhaps the only one, is to speak my mind, blunt and direct even to the head man.
So here goes.
I am amazed, angry and determined not to see my country die before I do, but you seem hell bent not to grant me that wish.
I can't figure out what country you are the president of.
You fly around the world telling our friends and enemies despicable lies like:
" We're no longer a Christian nation"
" America is arrogant" - (Your wife even
announced to the world,"America is mean-
spirited. " Please tell her to try preaching
that nonsense to 23 generations of our
war dead buried all over the globe who
died for no other reason than to free a
whole lot of strangers from tyranny and
hopelessness.)
I'd say shame on the both of you, but I don't think you like America, nor do I see an ounce of gratefulness in anything you do, for the obvious gifts this country has given you. To be without shame or gratefulness is a dangerous thing for a man sitting in the White House.
After 9/11 you said," America hasn't lived up to her ideals."
Which ones did you mean? Was it the notion of personal liberty that 11,000 farmers and shopkeepers died for to win independence from the British? Or maybe the ideal that no man should be a slave to another man, that 500,000 men died for in the Civil War? I hope you didn't mean the ideal 470,000 fathers, brothers, husbands, and a lot of fellas I knew personally died for in WWII, because we felt real strongly about not letting any nation push us around, because we stand for freedom.
I don't think you mean the ideal that says equality is better than discrimination. You know the one that a whole lot of white people understood when they helped to get you elected.
Take a little advice from a very old geezer, young man.
Shape up and start acting like an American. If you don't, I'll do what I can to see you get shipped out of that fancy rental on Pennsylvania Avenue. You were elected to lead not to bow, apologize and kiss the hands of murderers and corrupt leaders who still treat their people like slaves.
And just who do you think you are telling the American people not to jump to conclusions and condemn that Muslim major who killed 13 of his fellow soldiers and wounded dozens more. You mean you don't want us to do what you did when that white cop used force to subdue that black college professor in Massachusetts, who was putting up a fight? You don't mind offending the police calling them stupid but you don't want us to offend Muslim fanatics by calling them what they are, terrorists.
One more thing. I realize you never served in the military and never had to defend your country with your life, but you're the Commander-in-Chief now, son. Do your job. When your battle-hardened field General asks you for 40,000 more troops to complete the mission, give them to him. But if you're not in this fight to win, then get out. The life of one American soldier is not worth the best political strategy you're thinking of.
You could be our greatest president because you face the greatest challenge ever presented to any president.
You're not going to restore American greatness by bringing back our bloated economy. That's not our greatest threat. Losing the heart and soul of who we are as Americans is our big fight now.
And I sure as hell don't want to think my president is the enemy in this final battle.
Sincerely,
Harold B. Estes

Veterans Treated Like Welfare Recipients? A Reporters Comment:

"Causes of the pending bankruptcy" as the elderly, the retired, military Veterans, welfare recipients, and the increasing demands of "undocumented workers" (illegal immigrants).

Millions of  patriotic Americans served with honor, integrity. and pride; How dare these  jackasses think that military Veterans are no different than the millions of Welfare Recipients.

This  Diamond Rio song is  banned from the radio because it is not politically correct. Today was the first time I heard it and I can say that I will be buying Diamond Rio music from now on. This song is what America is all about and Those who control the politics and the Media should not fool themselves into thinking we will give up God.

There have been many times lately that The American Government has made me ashamed to be American; but they have never and will never make me ashamed of God.

Recent Event:

Big Brother says elderly visitors to federally funded meals at a Georgia senior citizen’s center aren’t allowed to pray to that Christian God of theirs. Obama’s Big Brother government contends that since it has paid for their meals the government has the right to slam its iron boot heel down on the necks of those seasoned citizens that dare to engage in such an apostasy toward the state.

I am sure glad I wasn’t the one to tell the Elderly they couldn’t pray. They’ve been at it for years and they know how to get prayers answered.

Religion in School: (various Opinions)

1.Keep it in the schools. The goverment should keep it's nose out of faith.

2.Unless all religions are taught and given respect equally. My kids were raised (til 8th grade) in a really great private school that taught and celebrated all religions.
However I do believe that if some kids in the public school want to pray together (without making a big deal out of it) it should be fine and I know this happens at my kids schools now.

3.I believe it is the parents duty to bring religion into the family not the schools.

I personally believe that God is everywhere and If you try to keep him out of one part of your life; he will stay out of all parts of your life.  I believe that is why such fierce and swift destruction is falling on America and its people.

Feminism – A Step Back?

Feminism – A Step Back

Feminism: The Confusion of Male/Female Relationships

From the beginning of time, Women had specific roles in the world and the home.

Each culture would have a few variations but basically being a female was the same.

From the Suffrage Movement to the current Movement, there appears to be a dramatic change. But things are not always what they appear:

In my studies I have found that women succeeded in freeing themselves from the roles they were created for and then fight for the return of those roles and bemoan the loss of them.

For Instance, In my interviews with career women , I found that most were not happy with their career choices(particularly those in previously male dominated fields); the demands that a career placed on their time; they wanted the security of Husbands to provide for them so that they could stay home and raise their families.

One case in particular stands out :

There were two young women – Best friends ; one was a housewife , the other had a job in a mans field. Their friendship began to suffer because the woman who worked was envious of the one who stayed home. Both women were married and when the woman who stayed home went to visit her friend she had car trouble; The other woman's husband immediately went out and fixed the problem.

More Examples:

They had jobs, but feminists weren't satisfied; every other woman had to get one too. So they opened fire on homemakers with a savagery that still echoes throughout our culture. A housewife is a "parasite," [Betty] Frieden writes; such women are "less than fully human" insofar as they "have never known a commitment to an idea."

David Gelernter, Drawing Life, Surviving the Unabomber, Free Press, 1997, p. 95

Housewives, not men, were the prey in feminism's sights when Kate Millett decreed in 1969 that the family must go. Feminists do not speak for traditional women. Men cannot know this, however, unless we tell them how we feel about them, our children, and our role in the home. Men must understand that our feelings towards them and our children are derided by feminists and have earned us their enmity. Whether or not this understanding garners men's support, traditional women must defend ourselves because the feminist offensive is, most essentially, a breach of solidarity with us, a disavowel of the obligation to honor the Women's Pact [that religious celibates, professional women, and homemakers respect each other] that women in the movement owed to us.

F. Carolyn Graglia, Domestic Tranquility, A Brief Against Feminism, Spence Publishing Company, Dallas, 1998, p. 97

"I am not the sort of woman who goes blonde," writes novelist Jane Smiley, before explaining how she did just that and, in the process, what sort of woman she discovered herself to be. A feminist intellectual and practical Midwesterner, Smiley had always "abjured vanity." She wore glasses and plain white cotton underwear, had a "short, masculine hairdo," and never, ever shaved her legs or underarms. Her looks reflected her convictions. "If I dyed my hair," she thought, "that would lead to makeup, and inevitably, to manicures, facials, panty hose, and the wholesale submission to the patriarchy." But that reasoning itself reflected the stereotypes of an earlier era, the idea that women must choose between intelligence and beauty, mind and body, substance and surface.

In her early forties, Smiley discovered that her studied indifference to her appearance was sending unwanted signals and hiding important aspects of her personality. The man she was interested in didn't see her as a woman. She fretted to her therapist. The therapist sent her to his colorist. Thus began her new life of blonde hair and shaved armpits -- of new pleasures and new meaning. "Sometimes I stand in front of the mirror and simply admire it," she says of her caramel-colored hair. "It is a beautiful, layered, shimmering gold, soft and sparkly, a hair color that has no relation to me and no counterpart in the animal world. I would hate to give it up."

I interviewed some women who were completely confused by the feminist movement and the feminism with in themselves.

Some thought their lives and relationships would be better if they had careers to Impress their husbands with. Some thought their careers Were the root of all their problems.

Some women want all the traditional comforts of a relationship; with the advantages of the feminist theory. The Feminist Movement advocates the treatment of women as the equal of men; and then disrupts the relationship by its very equality.

Woman have always had the distinction of being on a pedestal above men; In tearing down those pedestals Have they made themselves Less Than men?

In striving to be attractive and seductive, are they going against the Feminist Theory.

I thought the feminist theory was that women would be more than sex symbols, mothers, housekeepers? Is feminism going backwards? Can it be undone?

Dollars and Sense

Why is everything measured by the dollar? Why is a person’s value or lack there of determined by the amount of money he/she makes? How can the dollar determine the flourishing or demise of a marriage? A friendship? or any other relationship?

Our society judges everyone by their looks but that is second to financial prosperity. If you are beautiful and sexy, you need not have very much money or sense; otherwise you better have a lot of money. If you have a lot of money , people don’t care if you have any sense. Sense is rated as the least needed item in America.  Actually, Sense is rated a negative in most circles. Stupid people are adored. But I digress, so lets get back to money and other signs of wealth.

If your daughter says she has a boyfriend, what is the first thing you ask? Is he cute? Where does he work? Then you ask – What kind of car does he have? Where does he live? Very rarely does a parent say- Is he a nice boy? Does he come from a nice family? Is he smart?

Example: A young man was in love with a girl that was raised to judge a person by his job, car, house, bank book, etc.  Although this young man wanted to marry her; she wouldn’t have it. She married a man who lived in a big brick house, had the finest furniture and many nice automobiles, and a big fat check book. This man beat her, cheated on her and  sold the car she had when they married because it wasn’t nice enough for his wife to drive. He then dumped her for someone else and sent her back home to momma without a car to get to work in.  But it was too late; the other young man had died of a broken heart.

Example: Howard Hughes was rich and good looking; but he had something else going for him and it was the one thing no one has ever understood – He had a Brilliant mind and the money meant nothing to him.

Example: When I was growing up, there was an elder lady in our neighborhood that rode a bicycle with a basket on the front. No matter what the weather , all day she would ride around on this bicycle in her simple clothes and pick up cans and put them in her basket. My mother and all our neighbors would save their cans and give them to her when she passed by. Our community helped the poor little widow woman.  When she passed away , we found out she lived in a huge brick house and had millions of dollars. But again she had sense. She didn’t sit around on her butt  all day rolling in her money. She got out and helped her community. How did she help her community by letting everyone believe she was a poor little widow woman. Thats exactly how, the community was better for having helped her.

Money is the number one cause of divorce in America; it is also the number one cause of Murder/Suicides (usually these occur in more affluent households). People strive for all the Things that supposedly make one successful; when in truth success comes from being able to live and be happy without all the trappings of financial affluence.

The truth of the matter is Love is more important than money. Everything is more important than money.

People who believe money is everything; will do anything for money.

I personally have lived in shacks and didn’t know where my next meal was coming from; I have also lived in big fine houses and could have whatever I wanted but I was miserable. I would much rather be broke and happy than have money and be sad.

I truly believe that if you are happy and grateful for what you have, more will be bestowed upon you; and if you are not satisfied with what you have , you will never have anything.

Example: Actor Jim Carey

He is not an attractive man by society’s standards; but he has sense. He took his sense of humor and made millions but he never forgot where he came from or the people who made him famous.  He doesn’t go out and throw his money to people and say look at me I’m famous and I am helping you; he casually drops money on the sidewalks of poor neighborhoods for people to find; the reason this is known is because someone saw him do it; he didn’t run around bragging about it or send out press releases about the great thing he does.

I encourage my children to associate themselves with Ugly , Smart people with kind hearts and little money; and to stay away from beautiful , stupid people with lots of money and no hearts.

Most of our ancestors had very little but they made it; and they were happy. Most people today have a lot, and they are not happy.  Take a look around. Money can’t buy happiness, but it can buy misery.

A Musical Life Style

For generations it has been surmised that music alters attitudes and lifestyles.

Lets See what was happening in the 40’s:

Swing was all the rage and so was Glenn Miller

All very nice, clean cut Gentleman.

Elvis Presley with his gyrating pelvis was going to be the ruin of American Youth; When in truth America and its changing lifestyle was what made Elvis so popular. Lets take a look back, shall we:

During the post-WWII economic boom of the 1950s, many parents were able to give their teenage children much higher weekly allowances, signaling a shift in the buying power and purchasing habits of American teens. During the 1940s bobby soxers had idolized Frank Sinatra, but the buyers of his records were mostly between the ages of eighteen and twenty-two. Presley triggered a juggernaut of demand for his records by near-teens and early teens aged ten and up. Along with Presley's "ducktail" haircut, the demand for black slacks and loose, open-necked shirts resulted in new lines of clothing for teenage boys whereas a girl might get a pink portable 45 rpm record player for her bedroom. Meanwhile American teenagers began buying newly available portable transistor radios[2] and listened to rock 'n' roll on them (helping to propel that fledgling industry from an estimated 100,000 units sold in 1955 to 5,000,000 units by the end of 1958). Teens were asserting more independence and Presley became a national symbol of their parents' consternation.

After watching this Video , I think you will agree that it was not Elvis who changed America, But America who changed and Elvis Followed.

Although Elvis was named the King Of Rock and Roll and accused of single handedly destroying America’s youth, His pelvis was nothing compared to Rockers of the 60’s; so grab your beads and lets go:

The Beatles were harmless enough, although not in suits, they are clean and well dressed.  The Beatles and groups like them were the norm until the beginning of the Vietnam War. With the beginning of the war; America changed again and the music Followed with artist such as Janis Joplin, Bob Dylan, and Jimi Hendrix just to name a few.

When the war started – America began to burn – Bra’s, Flags, Weed, Brain Cells.

In the 70’ , although long hair remained; men were more masculine, women were more masculine and the music was really masculine ; after all America was tough :

By the 80’s we had forgot about Vietnam and all its poor , destroyed veterans and moved into a softer way of life: we still had Rock and Roll and the men still had long hair , but now the hair was styled and the men wore makeup:

By the 90’s the hair was longer and the music was lounder and stranger ; but then so was America.  Selling drugs had become big business instead of recreational entertainment.

Here we are , the year is 2010; America is at war with everyone , including the American people; sex and drugs are the norm, the economy has crashed, marriage and family are a joke, religion is against the law, and the new world order is in full swing.  The most popular rock song Today is :

As you can see , the music didn’t change America; America changed the Music.

Proof That Obama Is Not American or Black!

Obama has not faired well with any of his speeches and has been the brunt of many jokes. However, this particular speech is not funny. Every American over the age of 10 knows how to say Emancipation. Every Black American knows What Emancipation is.

This man cannot say it nor does he know what it means.

Most people realize that he is just a figure head for the powers that be. I just can’t imagine what those powers were thinking.

They should have chosen someone with some common sense and education because they knew whoever they put out there was going to have to make a speech at some time or other. I believe this speech is a total insult to the American People and Especially Black Americans.

Auctions

I have done business with several Auction sites and have found their fees to be astronomical. They charge you to list, even if your item doesn't sell; then they charge you a fee after it sells, etc. etc. etc.
I got tired of all the fees and the con artist attitude and started my own auction site.
You can check it out at http://www.pennyannie.info

Of course we have to charge some fees, but they are the lowest in the country and there are no fees to list an Auction Item; If it doesn't sell, you don't owe.

Home School

Education is very important, but there seems to be a lot of confusion these days as to where to get the best education. It wasn't that long ago that all the kids went to one school and one classroom. They usually didn't get past the sixth grade before they had to leave school and go to work. Read your history, some very famous and important people had very little formal education. Then we had the regulation of child labor and children started going to public school until they were 16; again many of your most influential people had very limited formal education.
From the beginning of time children have been home-schooled, either by their parents or by tutors - a lot of them turned out to be wealthy, influential people.

Now, when you bring up the subject of home-school; people start shouting "your not qualified", "you need to have at least a bachelors in education", yada, yada, yada.  I know many people who provide terrific educations for their children; from the privacy of their homes. A parent knows his or her child better than anyone and can encourage their talents while building up their weak areas, much more quickly and efficiently than a public school teacher.

Another argument against home schooling , and the biggest one I have encountered is : They don't learn social skills. That is not true. If the parent has social skills , the child will learn them. As for socializing with children of their own approximate age - many have siblings and friends. There are also organizations that help connect home schoolers with other home schoolers in their area. Home Schooled children form their own athletic teams and some even play on public school teams.

An additional complaint I hear is: "We work and we don't have time."
Contrary to what public school officials want you to believe; it does not take 9 hours a day to educate a child. You do not have to have classes during any particular time frame and if you still don't feel up to the challenge; you can appoint anyone you want to educate your child.
A relative, A friend,  etc.

I say it is a parents right and responsibility to educate their children and if they don't feel qualified and appoint that responsibility to someone else, they at least have a responsibility to be involved in that education. To oversee what their child is being taught. Instead of the schools doing background checks on the parents; parents should conduct background checks on every adult their child is going to come in contact with at that school.

Unconditional Love

A Parents Love is unconditional and you will never experience anything else like it. They love you when your wrong or right. They love you no matter what you look like; what you have ; what you do. They love you if your smart, stupid, lazy, handicapped, etc. etc. etc.
A parent will give you anything they have and they will even die for you.

I know that you do find exceptions to the rule, but they are few and far between. Parents ask very little from their children and usually get even less.  You shouldn't turn your back on your parents when they run out of things to give you, because your parents have love for you when there is nothing left.

Money and possessions cannot and will not ever be able to replace love. Whether it be the love between a parent and child; spouses, or siblings and anyone who believes it can is extremely deluded.  We all reach a point in our lives where there is nothing but emptiness that only the touch, the sound, the kiss, the hug, the presence of another human being can fill.
